Below is an aerial photo map of the Fairplay area, showing the access to the SPARCS RC Airfield. It is accessed by taking the Silverheels road off 285 to the west side, then turning immediately on the first gravel road to the left towards the "Two Mile High Baseball Stadium". Drive through on this road past the ball fields, and on to the west into the RC Airfield area. (The two main runways are visible in the red circled area on the photo. )

Our float flying site at DRY LAKE, just to the northeast of the flying field, is also shown on this photo; the NE side of the lake lies on BLM ground, and is only accessible through a wire gate off bHwy. 285, just south of the entrance to the Division of Wildlife's regional offices & shop.

[Thanks to SPARCS 2007 President Rod Baron for preparing this map photo!]

This Web page is dedicated to all of those kids of all ages who have never lost that sense of wonder in seeing something which they have built with their own hands, take wing and fly! It is also dedicated to the memory of those who have flown with us before, who shared that sense of wonder, and who now are off on their own flights of discovery, beyond this material world.
