"Yerba Mate (pronounced "yerba mahtay") is a medicinal and cultural drink of ancient origins. Introduced to
the world by the Guarani Indians of South America, Mate contains ingredients that help keep its drinkers
healthy and energetic.
More than a drink, Yerba Mate has become a cultural phenomenon throughout South America. Its benefits
are obvious. In Buenos Aires, where people carry their Mate with them throughout the day, the site of an
obese person is rare."

C&S Sales, 1-800-292-7711 has the ELENCO model M1740 hand held Digital Multi-meter for $39.95 + $5
S&H - Very valuable feature at the price: It also reads frequency from ~10 Hz to 10 MHz; It has a 3-1/2 digit display, which means it will display up to 1999 with a decimal point appropriately positioned. This meter was also origionally recommended by James Bare. I've worked with a couple- a great value! However, I prefer and recommend the LCM-1950 now.

Above is the newer LCM-1950 handheld meter, also from C&S Sales. It features a 3-3/4 digit display, (which means it can display up to 3999, with an appropriately placed decimal point) as shown above when reading a frequency of 2.128 KHz. It's available for only $69.95 to $79.95 from some sources, plus about $5.00 shipping The meter in the photo reads down to 7Hz very nicely, and is rated for up to 4MHz input. It also reads Inductance, Capacitance, tests transistors, and does all of the regular DMM testing functions.
Three good deals!

Radio Shack is now selling the TS 220-811 handheld meter for $49.99. It reads frequency (to 2MHz?). I've been told that it seems to do the job well with the Zappers.
