Specialized custom drive circuitry design uses brief pulses with very fast waveform rise and fall times to produce intense output magnetic pulses from the driven transducers / coils, while consuming a minimum of averaged input power. This results in producing very dynamic magnetic pulses at the selected frequency, while at the same time producing minimal heating of the driven coils.
Output Frequency range of the internal frequency generator is adjustable from ~3.8 Hz up to a set upper limit of 6000 Hz. External input signal processing circuitry allows for operation from a wide variety of external frequency sources, ranging from computer systems running various frequency generating software such as FreX, to programmable frequency synthesizers such as the F125 and F165 devices from www.atelierrobin.net.
The photo above shows one of the late 2007 generation MagPulse Magnum (c) coils. It has a separate lead and 5 pin DIN plug to control the LEDs in the core of this device. 24 LEDs in from one to four colors can be built into the core of each MagPulse Magnum Coil. The switches on the control panel allow for activating each color of LEDs individually, and all colors could be activated simultaneously if desired.
The MagPulse Magnum DC36SS utilizes an additional separate output drive channel for the LED arrays built into the core of the MagPulse Magnum Series Coils, with from one up to four colors of selectable Monochromatic LED Pulsed Light incorporated into their specially designed cores. While very brief pluses are used to produce the dynamic output magnetic signals radiated from any coils, the LED arrays are driven at a ~50% duty cycle for optimum response, while still being synchronized with the magnetic output signals.
Due to it's special design, the MagPulse Magnum(c) Coils produce ~47% Higher Pulsed Magnetic Field Intensity than that produced by the 'RA12' coils. These coils are encapsulated in specialized organic resins and other selected materials, with a 'tachionized' and specially 'activated' and 'harmonized' Orgonite core array, to interface the coil's pulsed light and magnetic resonances with the body's energy field in optimal ways. (This core design is the result of six years of progressive research & development.)
Two 'RA12' Coils are included with the MagPulse System DC36SS, which can be used simultaneously in "Helmholtz" or "3D" arrangements. These are tightly coiled from 125 feet of 12 Gauge wire, with an inner diameter of ~8-1/8", large enough to fit over knee, head, etc. Upgrades to different coils / transducers can be arranged.
The MAGPULSE DC36SS System was origionally designed to run from a set of three 12 volt batteries. In the photo on the left, three 17 Amp Hour sealed Gell Cell batteries are assembled into a single unit for ease of handling; the weight is only a modest 21 pounds for all three of these batteries. Protected mating polarized leads are used on heavy wire, and are already attached to the control unit and to the battery set for foolproof quick interconnection.
Since the three batteries are wired in series for this application to provide 36 volts, each battery needs to be charged individually. You can use one charger to charge each battery in turn, or you can use three regulated chargers, each connected to an individual battery, to charge all three batteries simultaneously while the system is in use. While this type of power system is very servicable in stationary applications, if you plan to travel with your equipment or move it around very often, it can become rather cumbersome.
UPDATE, August 19th, 2008: A new power supply system is now being developed, and should be available sometime after September 15th of 2008. This will eliminate the need for heavy and bulky three battery systems and chargers, making the total system far lighter weight, easier to transport, set up, interconnect, and use. References to the setup and interconnection of the earlier three battery power system are being deleted from this page at this time; they are still included in the manual. I can still build a system with wiring options available to run on your system of three deep cycle or Gel Cell batteriess if you desire. For most researchers, this new power supply system should be for more usable. Further information will be added soon.
The photo below shows a frequency reading meter connected into the jacks on the main control system, so that the
researcher has a display of the frequency being set when the internal frequency generator is being used. The meter shown is the model 220-811 from Radio Shack, which has the capability of displaying lower frequencies with .1 Hz resolution, so that you you can closely set frequencies such as 7.8 Hz or 15.2 Hz. The meter wil also display the frequency of signals coming in on the external input from other frequency synthesizers or computer generated signals, etc.

The photo at the right shows two of the "RA12" coils, made from 12 gauge wire with 8 feet of high-flex wire leads and banana connector soldered on the ends. The green and violet leads plug into matching color leads on the control panel. (These are very similar to the coil used with the "HPMP" and other similar systems; however, on this MagPulse System DC36SS, two of these coils can be driven simultaneously in a variety of synchronized arrangements.
Additionally, this system is designed for use with almost any external frequency source, from a computer running the FREX software, to the programmable frequency sequencers such as the F125, as well as others. Due to the specialized internal multi-level signal processing circuitry which is unique to these systems, they can also be run by other software running frequency files in MP3 format on a laptop or desktop computer. The "Input Signal Sensitivity" control allows it to be adjusted to run well when driven with widely varying input signal waveforms and amplitudes. Initial design work was focused on developing the system for use with anything and everything capable of generating a frequency, including a wide variety of Computers equipped with sound systems & headphone output jacks.
The F125 / F165 operation setup is explained in the instruction booklet; other options for interfacing to desktop computer and laptop computer sound systems (or to MP3 music file players, etc.) are also presented and discussed in the manual.
The input jack on the face panel of the System 6C EM+ uses a common 1/8" stereo headphone jack, utilizing the tip contact as the signal input, and the base contact as the ground. A cable can also be provided which allows connection from the output of any frequency synthesizer with a BNC Male output connector. (Other cables are available for other applications; contact me if you need something else instead.)
Tech Note: The external input waveforms we can process and use as a stable frequency input for these computer interfaced systems are not the output waveforms that drive the RA12 and MagPulse Magnum coils / transducers; input signals are internally processed to produce the more complex and precise coil / transducer drive signals.
When using the F150, F125, or F165 frequency synthesizers, which have a signal amplitude of 5 volts on the main output, setting this control to about the middle of it's travel range will work fine.
When using a different type of external signal source, such as a computer sound system, which will have with a lower amplitude or less clean waveform, follow the following procedure: plug in your frequency reading meter to monitor the output frequency. Connect a 1/8" stereo male-male patch cord (such as Radio Shack part # 42-2387A) from the computer's Speaker Output jack to the External Input jack on the MagPulse System.
With the output of a laptop or desktop computer sound system, you may want to pre-set it's "VOLUME" control to about 80% of maximum. Next, on the MagPulse System, start by setting the "External Signal Adjustment" control fully counter-clockwise before connecting to the new signal source. Then, with a frequency being generated on the external source and being input into the system, increase the External Signal' control, turning the knob clockwise until the meter reads the correct frequency. (There will NEVER be any reading at the minimum dial setting position.) Continue to rotate the knob clockwise to determine the upper limit of valid signal level detection, set the control in the center of this 'valid signal detection' range and leave it there. (You can use a frequency reading meter, plugged into the appropriately labeled jacks on the control panel, to verify the adjustment range within which the frequency output is accurately matching the input frequency.) That should be all there is to it; you can always 'tweak' it again later if you need to when making further system changes. On laptop systems with a modest signal amplitude, the range within which a clean / valid signal is detected may be far narrower than when working with the F125 / F165 type of device.
(While the MagPulse System's signal processing circuitry can work with modest amplitude signals, some computer sound systems, and some laptops when running from an AC adapter power supply, have additional 'noise' super-imposed on the output signals that makes it more difficult to find a stable setting, where the frequency reading meter's display matches what you think you have programmed to be coming into the System's external input. If this is the case with your computer, then it may benefit from the use of a SA-02 "Wave Shaper" device, available from Dave Felt at www.dfe.net for $115 plus $15 for shipping. This has solved problems for other researchers in the past. This can also be used with MP3 players, etc. if necessary to end up with a clean signal.) BR>
The black handled INTERNAL / EXTERNAL FREQUENCY SOURCE SWITCH should be in the INTERNAL position to use the internal frequency generator. At first glance, the panel looks rather complicated, but it shouldn't take long to understand how to operate the MagPulse Systems.
STARTUP CHECK LIST:: BEFORE TURNING ON THE SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME:
1: Check: Coil(s) plugged in to the color coded jacks BEFORE power is ever turned on!
2: Plug in your frequency reading meter into the "FREQUENCY COUNTER jacks on the system's front panel, and set it to display frequency.
When you turn ON the POWER switch (located on the rear panel pannel), you will see the "ON" green LED indicator light up, and hear the cooling fan on the rear panel start to run quietly. The Frequency reading meter will begin to display a frequency in Khz, As a decimal portion thereof. [Keep in mind that 1 Khz = 1.000 Khz = 1000 Hz]
In setting a frequency, if for example you wanted to set it for the lowest possible setting, you would need to start with all of the frequency setting knobs at their minimums, rotated fully counter-clockwise. When using the Radio Shack 220-811 meter, as an example, it may display 3.7 Hz to 3.8 Hz when all 4 frequency setting control knobs are set fully counter-clockwise.
(You can set the frequency output to any desired frequency from just below 4 Hz to just over 6KHz. The upper end of the adjustment range is set just over the 6 Khz limit to allow the best resolution when using these controls to set higher frequencies.)
General Overview note: now is a good time to clarify that these 4 frequency setting controls, are 'daisy-chained' or connected in series; the frequency generating circuitry only sees the collective sum of how all 4 of these knobs are set- it doesn't see each one separately. They are labeled from left to right: "LOW, INTERMEDIATE, HIGHER, and HIGHEST. The First control is the coarsest adjustment with the widest range; it also needs to be adjusted through it's full clockwise travel range before the other knobs can be used to set a higher frequency. The 4th frequency setting control at the right end, labeled as "FINEST & FINE TUNING" adjusts over a very small range,
When you turn any control knob clockwise through it's range of travel, the frequency of the system's output goes higher, as displayed on the frequency counter. When the LOW knob has been rotated fully clockwise, you begin turning the INTERMEDIATE knob clockwise through it's full range of travel; when that control knob has been rotated fully clockwise through it's range of travel, you'll begin to use the 3rd "HIGHER" knob in the same way to increase the frequency higher.
Since all 4 of these controls are connected in series, or 'daisy-chained" together, the output frequency is affected by all of their settings collectively. When setting a low frequency on the first LOW control's range, any of the other control knobs can be used to have finer resolution for fine-tuning. Unless the first three control knobs are set to their fully clockwise position, you can not set a frequency close to the upper end of the adjustment range with the "HIGHEST & FINE TUNING control knob. By adjusting these controls while watching the resulting frequency display on the frequency reading meter, you will quickly become familiar with the frequency setting process.
The MagPulse Magnum coils are built with from one up to four colors of LEDS in the core, allowing use of synchronized light of selected colors. While the magnetic pluses are very brief and abrupt for maximum effect in inducing resonances, this system uses a separate drive channel to drive these LED arrays at a ~50% duty cycle for optimum response. The leading edge of the magnetic and light pulses are closely synchronized for optimum response. Individual colors can be turned on and off by the researcher with the switches in the right end of the control panel, they can be selected individually or used simultaneously if preferred. (The LED arrays can even be used without the Pulsed magnetic field being active, if the researcher chooses to work in this mode. Always remember to turn OFF the power to the system with the back panel switch before connecting or disconnecting any of the coil plugs, to avoid the need for costly repairs! [When the DIN connector is plugged in but the green and violet coil power plugs are disconnected, only the LED arrays will be selectable and active.]
Please refer to the research material in the manual, and do a web search on "color therapy" for further insight into the use of light and color therapy.
Briefly: greens and blues are referred to as 'cool colors', which are calming, sedating, and pain relieving. They are also said to help shift the body into the 'para-sympathetic' mode, where the body is then more receptive to healing influences. The color "true orange", at 605nM, is said by some researchers to be the color of light that the cellular chemistry of the body reacts to most dynamically; specifically, the 'cytochrome A' or 'cytochrome oxidase' within the cells is said to respond most dynamically to this color / wavelength of light. Light of this color, then is observed to activate cellular processes, activate enzymes, and stimulate circulation of the blood and lymph systems. In addition, from the energetic approach of the accupuncture / energy healers' techniques, the yellow-orange colors of light (590 nM to 605 nM) is said to be uiseful and beneficial in clearing energy imbalances and blockages. When these colors of light are pulsed at specific selected frequencies, further energetic dynamics come into play. The reds, deep reds, and infra-reds are known as the 'warm' colors; they are know to also stimulate and accelerate cellular processes and facilitate healing.
One of the key design aspects of the MAGPULSE DC36SS (and MagPulse Spectrum) systems are their ability to drive TWO coils / transducers simultaneously, with synchronized waveforms, to increase the magnetic flux intensity / signal strength in the area between the two coils. These types of "HELMHOLTZ" or "3D" arrangements utilize two transducers / coils arranged facing each other, where the first coil / transducer (with it's primary / North pole polarity face oriented towards the target area) is PUSHING the pulsed magnetic signal, while the second coil, which is oriented with it's back side / South pole polarity side oriented toward the target area from the opposite side, 180 degrees from the first coil's orientation) is simultaneously PULLING the magnetic flux / waveform through a target area. This results in much higher magnetic flux intensity in the area between the two coils / transducers.
This can be done using two of the RA12 type coils, or using a set of the MAGPULSE Magnum transducer coils, or any combination of these coils whitch the researcher chooses.
CONSTRUCTIVE INTERFERENCE ARRANGEMENTS [90 Degrees apart]
By placing two coils / transducers 90 degrees apart from each other in relation to their orientation to the target area, and having the North pole (primary) face of each coil / transducer facing towards the target area, we produce two synchronized magnetic wavefronts passing through the target area. This is similar to the pattern produced by dropping two pebbles into a bathtub- one at the foot edge, the other at the side edge. where the waves or ripples intersect as they travel across the tub, we see that higher 'constructive interference' nodes are produced that travel actoss the tub. The same thing happens when using two coils in this arrangement, producing 'constructively reinfourcing interference' patterns as the two magnetic waveforms / signals from the two coils / transducers interact while traveling through the target area.
USING A MAGNETIC FLUX CONCENTRATOR MAGNET
OPPOSITE (SOUTH POLE MAGNETIC ENERGY) POLARITY DRAWS AND CONCENTRATES THE PULSING MAGNETIC FLUX THROUGH AN AREA, INCREASES DYNAMIC EFFECTS
I offer an optional 20+ ounce 4" diameter x .7" thick magnet for this application for $20 plus $6 S&H
Results / responses have been reported to be enhanced- sometimes dramatically- in research cases reports of joint issues, carpal tunnel syndrome, and lyme arthritis conditions
BUCKING / OPPOSING ARRANGEMENT [180 Degrees Apart- North pole polarity faces towards each other]
Some researchers write of using such arrangements in certain research applications; at this time I am more inclined to use the two arrangements mentioned above for my own purposes. Please see some of the referenced research material offered in the Pulsed Magnetics Research Manual on this subject; more will be written as further research is completed, and research reports are received from other researchers.
USING A GROUNDING PLATE
For those researchers who might be lacking a dual coil (3D / Helmholtz) setup, and who do not have a flux concentrating magnet, as well as for application that might not as easily lend themselves to those approaches, the use of a grounding plate is the other technique suggested by some researchers (such as users of the HPMP systems) to enhance response to a pulsed magnetic signal. A lead with a 'tip plug' on one end and an alligator clip on the other end can be used to connect to a stainless steel grounding plate (or other shape.) Serving trays, and even stainless steel table knives have been used in various 'zapping' applications. I offer a suitable 6' long attachment lead alone for $10, and also offer an optional 9" x 6" stainless steel grounding plate with a lead attached for $30 + S&H
The pulse shaping adjustment range I have designed into the MagPluse System DC36SS allows for optimum driving of a variety of coil configurations. If you want to generate a primarily North Pole Energy magnetic output pulse, with minimal bi-phasic aspect, then the optimum setting for the RA12 coils and the MagPulse Magnum coils presently being released, is at the 3rd dial hash mark - two hash marks above the minimum mark or fully counter-clockwise position. This setting is also the most efficient as far as power consumption, producing the maximum amplitude of the North Pole component of the radiated magnetic pulse, and also resulting in the minimum of coil heating.
If you want more of a bi-phasic aspect to the output pulse, but with a bit less amplitude in the North Pole energy leading edge 'spiking' component, and more South pole energy in the output resonance, then an advanced control setting, approaching the three o'clock position on the control will yield this. This more advanced setting also results in higher power consumption than when the setting is in the ~9 o'clock position. I presently prefer to use the primarily North Pole (mono-polar) pulsed magnetic energy produced by the lower setting for most purposes. (More will be written about this unique pulse / waveform shaping control as further research reports are returned by other researchers using this system.)
Body response testing approaches will be used by some collaborating researchers to further verify which waveforms / settings are most helpful with specific coils in specific applications. Those researchers contributing to the research report database will in turn have access to ongoing updates as they are made available. (One of the three specialized sensors I designed originally to observe pulsed magnetic signals at frequencies up into the 1.5 MHz + range is also the one which is responsive enough to yield this type of magnetic output waveform variation display. Other sensor designs are used to display other aspects of interest, such as the very high speed of the rising leading edge spike of each of the magnetic pulses.)
There are a compilation of some of the anecdotal research reports I've received over the last ~10 years, accessible on this page. These reports pertain to the use of a variety of experimental research equipment which I have offered to other researchers over the years. While these reports do not 'prove' anything, the do offer insight into how other researchers are achieving their results using the various equipment. These reports also offer grounds for hope, which is also of value.
LYME? A lady by the name of Melody was in a wheelchair with Lyme disease (to keep from injuring herself when she would pass out abruptly and unpredictably in February of 2005, when she received & started using the 8CE EM+ ; by April, she was back out riding the horses with her kids... by November of 2005, she reported being Lyme-free, and has been doing great since. Specificly sequenced frequencies were used as she started out, which produced great results with minimal 'herxheimer' or adverse reactions. She would, in many cases, use two plasma tubes set up vertically in tube support stands placed 90 degrees apart in relation to where she would sit while running the frequency sequences. Sometimes she would also simultaneously use the MagPulse wand on selected areas, such as neck, joints, etc.
Here is a compilation of Melody's emails & progress reports from that time period- (I do not have permission to give out her contact information at this time). She had hoped to expand upon these reports, adding further clarification and additional information, but that writing has not yet been completed. Her successful work with many other conditions in both people and animals is very promising, so we continue to wish her well in her efforts to write more of her insights and techniques.
A fast oscilloscope with an appropriate sensor is capable of graphicly displaying the effects of the
Pulse Shaping adjustment on the nature of the output waveforms radiated from the RA12 and
MagPulse Magnum coils. Since these are such incredibly rapid changes, meters are rather
misleading and useless... an oscilloscope with the proper sensor is the only way to display the
effects on the characteristics of the radiated pulsed magnetic waveforms. Also please keep in mind
that, at all frequencies, the intense pulses that drive the coils and set up the radiated magnetic
energy field are very fast (rapid rise and fall times), and also very brief in relation to the OFF portion
of the waveform. Simple gauss meters average measured fields over extended measurement
periods, and therefore offer very low readings compared to the actual peak intensity of each
magnetic pulse.
It is also interesting to note that three different configuration sensors can yield three substantially
different displays of the same MagPulse coil being driven at the same frequency, depending upon
how the sensor is designed.

HOW TO DO SOME SIMPLE TESTING OF PULSED MAGNETIC SIGNALS
(Information first offered on June 19th, 2002 by BKS)
Would you like an easy way to 'listen' to the output of the MagPulse Wands, to get an idea of the
shape and extent of the pulsed magnetic field emanating from the MagPulse? Here's one simple and
inexpensive (Under $20) way you can do it, with a couple of commonly available parts from your
local Radio Shack store.
PART # 277-1008C Audio Amplifier / Speaker ; 3"x3"x1" compact case, (uses a 9 volt battery )
PART # 44-533B Telephone Pickup ; plugs into the input of the Amplifier above; picks up magnetic
signals.
A 9 volt battery for the Amplifier
This simple setup will allow you to listen to the various pulse rates / frequencies as tones when the
MagPulse wand is on / pulsing. You'll be able to observe that you can pick up and hear the signal
through the body, at about the same intensity as through the same distance of open air,
demonstrating that the body does not substantially attenuate the pulsed magnetic signal from the
MagPulse wand.
This 'transparency' of the body to pulsed magnetic signals is spoken of in reference material provided with the MagPulse wands. The Article that's linked below also touches on this subject. The basic significance form these demonstrations is that there is not a loss of 'penetration'; MRI imaging techniques rely on the pulsed magnetic signals which they produce to pass through the body, too.
All of our cells 'hear' these pulsed magnetic signals.
The volume / intensity of the signal can easily be heard to increase as you get closer to the
MagPulse wand, and to get fainter as you get a greater distance from it. You can optionally plug a
set of headphones into the output jack on the Audio Amplifier, to minimize outside noise.
While the audio amplifier is only labeled for a frequency response of from 100 Hz to 10,000 Hz, you
can hear lower pulse rates, such as 15 Hz, very well, too.
In August of 2007, I designed a new high frequency, low impedance sensor which I could use to display and evaluate pulsed magnetic waveforme at frequencies well above 1MHz; this special sensor was used to capture the information displayed on this page. It allow us to see the affects of using the pulse shaping control which are not as dramaticly appearant with any sensors used previously.

The first two photos are of single output pulses at a lower frequency of about 200 Hz, but are exemplary of the waveforms produced at any frequency from below 20 Hz to over 6000 Hz.
(The horizontal 'time per division' setting on this oscilloscope was left at the same setting for all of the photos on this page, with 2 volts amplitude per
vertical division; you can see that, while the pulse intervals do change, there is no drop-off in pulse amplitude / intensity at 6000 Hz in the lower three photos, compared to the pulse amplitude of the low frequency pulses shown in the first two photos.)

Above are three photos taken at ~6000 Khz, at three different pulse shaping control settings. The left photo shows the effect of having the
control set to the fully counter-clockwise [A] position; the second photo displays how the waveform it 'tightened up', if you will, into a cleaner mono-polar North pole pulse at the third hash mark clockwise from the minimum position - the [C] position. The last photo show the extent of the wavform speading into a biphasic 'ringing' waveform when the control is set to the last three [J, K, or L]
hash marks in the fully clockwise rotation.
What this does illustrate is that if we want to generate primarily North-pole magnetic pulses, with a minimum of the 'ringing' after each primary output
pulse, then having the ability to optimize this setting is crucial. [This optimum setting varies with the varying inductance, impedance, and reluctance
characteristics of different coils; however, setting this control to the third hashmark, about 9 O'clock on the dial range [C setting] will work for the RA12 coils and for the MagPulse Magnum(c) Pulsed Magnetic & Pulsed Light devices.
(Note that other pulsed magnetic systems such as the "Doug Machine" the HPMP, and other "Coil Machines" do not have this ability to control the shaping of the output waveforms.)
Many researchers recommend that people with reduced Liver and / or Kidney function should proceed cautiously, keeping in mind that healing and detox reactions may be experienced. Drink a large glass of water 15 minutes before running the MagPulse System, and drink lots of water after to help the body to clear away any debris or toxins possibly released by micro-organisms. In particular, people who are dealing with Lyme disease should limit their research usage and exposure times until they have gauged their own reactions to this research equipment.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Promoting false hopes is not what this is all about - not what I wanted to do in building the web site, not what I intend to do in sharing the things I've discovered thus far in my personal quest for a return to better health than I've experienced.
I am also one of the "hopeful" ones, trying to develop a better understanding of all of the inter- relationships between all of the various possible approaches to alternate health practices and methods. I certainly don't claim to have that many answers yet, but there's another feeling that motivates me... a feeling that, for many of our loved ones, friends, and acquaintances, time is running out.....
I begin to feel that I can not afford the luxury of a conviction of certainty, at the expense of wasted time, before sharing budding insights or newly-forming theories, which others may be able to relate to their own experiences and insights, and expand upon. Ideas I express should then be considered as steps along the way, rather than final conclusions, and I warmly invite any and all to email to me their reflections and insights in any of these matters. I'll be continuing to add to this manuscript as new information becomes available. The presentation won't always be polished, but the underlying principle is this: Provide "FOOD FOR THOUGHT" to help others gain new insights, or to apply what others have learned.
